AMEC awarded engineering and project management services contract by BP in United Arab Emirates
AMEC, the international engineering and project management company, has been awarded an engineering and project management services (EPMS) contract by BP Sharjah Ltd for their onshore gas facilities in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
The value of the contract has not been announced.
The two year contract, which starts immediately, has two one-year extension options. AMEC’s work will include the provision of engineering studies, front end engineering design (FEED) and detailed design, project management and construction management for BP Sharjah’s assets including the Kahaif, Moveyid and Sajaa gas fields and the Sajaa gas plant.
This contract follows earlier project management services and engineering services contracts awarded by BP Sharjah Ltd to AMEC in recent years.
”I am delighted with the award of this contract which builds on the excellent working relationship between AMEC and BP and provides a strong commitment from both companies to work together to support the business objectives of the BP Sharjah operation,” said Tony Cruddas, President of AMEC’s Natural Resources Growth Regions business. “It also strengthens our capability in the Middle East and North Africa through the continued development of our engineering and project management services in the region.”
